Designers brief:

Northland Enterprises Ltd (NEL) was awarded by the Far North District Council, the contract to plan and design the remodel of the RSA Remembrance Park for the Centennial commemorations. .Andrew Cuckney, owner of NEL, lead the planning, design and management of the project. Part of the detailed design included replacing the round bollards with square bollards to match in with the square memorial statue plinth and wall and the square shape of the open space. For a special garden that commemorates the local soldiers who fought in the world wars, the designer opted for some smart profiling such as the beveled top and rebated collar detail on the bollards. The concrete surrounds were also required to give the bollards a uniform look and to mirror a row of soldiers. NEL would like to compliment Beams & Timber Direct on their quality supplied and helpfulness of their staff in expediting their products to this project.
